Here's what you should know about the data Checker – Park Happy collects and how it's used.
What we collect
While you're logged into the Checker app, we collect:
- Your device's location
- Basic device info (like device type and OS)
- How you use the app (activity within Checker)
- Your step count (via your device's pedometer)
That's it — and only while you're logged in. When you log out, we're not tracking anything.
This applies whether you're on a company device or your own personal phone.
Who can see it
- You can request to see data associated with yourself, like your step count.
- Office admin staff and supervisors can see all of the data listed above.
- Contracted developers who build and maintain the app. Access is limited to only those developers that need to know.
Data will be provided to law enforcement if we are compelled by court order to provide it.
Where it's stored
Everything lives on Microsoft Azure's servers.
How long we keep it
Indefinitely — even after you leave Park Happy, your data stays on file.
Your options
You can ask to see the data associated with you at any time. Since Park Happy owns this data, we're not able to delete it or hand over ownership, even upon request.
